Used Tires

If you are one of those who like driving over rough terrain, through sand or snow, and mud or mountains, but your wallet is a little deflated at the moment, you can consider buying used off-road tires.

As long as you are careful when selecting these things you can get exactly what you need without too much cost. You will need to be sure of the size of the unit you are buying, and that it will fit your vehicle. Verify its width, profile, and rim size and be sure that it does not rub against the fender or wheel well of the vehicle.

Check for cracks on the tread as well as the sidewall. Try flexing the item to verify this. If there are any repairs on it, see that they have been done properly. Of course, no repair at all is best.

Second-hand units always have some wearing but these should be even and not excessive. If they have been used on a vehicle with poor suspension and alignment, these may be uneven. It is best to avoid these.

It will take a little patience, but the reward is hours upon hours of driving over terrain where ordinary mortals fear to tread.
